Fall Hat Inspiration with Designs from Ruminant Hat Co.

The end of summer’s coming soon, and with the changing of the seasons comes changes to our personal style. To help you standout this fall we will be featuring a handful of small businesses on our blog that show how personalization in your wardrobe can go a long way. Last week’s blog featured Maria from Blue Hour Goods who taught us how to naturally dye clothing using ingredients you can find in your fridge. This week we are showcasing the work of Miranda from Ruminant Hat Co.

A bit about Miranda—She currently resides in Big Sky Country (aka Montana) where she spends her free time out exploring in the sunshine and snow. She loves skiing, mountain biking, and being on the river and wanted to create cool, fun hats for people to enjoy. Miranda’s hats are geared towards the outdoors and are the perfect accessory for anyone who wants to keep exploring outside while fashionably protecting their heads from the sun.

Most of Miranda’s designs are inspired by the environments she explores, and you can find tons of beautiful wildflowers and ferns hand-painted on an array of hat styles on her site.

“Hi, I am inspired by flowers and foliage, and I love to paint wearable art. Each hat is unique and one of a kind. The ink I use to paint each hat is water resistant and will hold up if you get caught in the rain, wind, or snow. These hats are made to hold up when you wear them, whether it’s to dinner, breweries, camping, dancing, hiking, sitting, standing, etc. They are also stand-alone pieces of art when they are hanging on your wall, bringing a splash of color or vibrance to your space.” (Quote from Ruminant Hat Co)

Some of Miranda’s favorite styles include the Richardson 168 in Black / Camo / Loden, the Richardson 168 in Charcoal / Black, and the Valucap VC700 in Black / White.
